Cunard's three Queens to visit Australia

Cunard's three Queens to visit Australia

Cunard Line will send all three of its Queen cruise ships to Australia in 2014, as part of its new world voyage program.

The cruise line’s Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will arrive down under during February and March 2014, marking the first time all three members of its “royal triumvirate” have visited Australia in the same season.

The liners will make a combined total of 16 calls at Australian ports, with Sydney and Brisbane both set to welcome all three Queens at various times during their voyages.

However, president and chief executive Peter Shanks’ dream of seeing all three ships in Sydney Harbour will remain unfulfilled, with no meeting of the three ships in Australian waters featured in the program.

The 2014 program will be released to local agents on Friday and will go on sale at 10pm on September 5, with a range of options from three full world voyages to shorter eight-night sectors.
