Qantas bookings go mobile
By admin

Qantas has added the ability to book domestic and international flights via its mobile site, bringing the Flying Kangaroo in line with Jetstar and Virgin Australia.

The new mobile booking function is available to travellers departing Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and the US.

Lyell Strambi, chief executive Qantas Domestic, said the new function means greater convenience for Qantas customers.

“The Qantas Mobile site now makes it easier for our customers to book their flights while on the move,” Strambi said.

“We have listened to our customers who want greater convenience in the booking process. They want flexibility to book flights away from their home or office, or on their way to the airport.”

Qantas’ mobile site was originally launched in 2008 with domestic flight check-in, SMS flight updates and flight status details part of functionality.

Qantas Club lounge locations, contact numbers for Qantas offices worldwide as well as timetables for the airline, QantasLink, Jetstar and codeshare flights are also included.
