Aerolineas to operate Sydney direct
By admin

Argentinian flag carrier Aerolineas Argentinas will operate direct services from Sydney to Buenos Aires from July 1 as part of a global route shake-up.

The carrier will operate the non-stop service three times a week, dropping its Auckland stopover. It has served the city for more than 30 years.
The carrier will tomorrow unveil details of a route overhaul that will see a focus on Europe and development of more South America routes, as well as the direct Sydney services.
Aerolineas has long planned direct services from Australia, which appear to be well timed given that Qantas has now pulled the route in favour of Santiago.
The airline was struggling to operate from both Sydney and Auckland with minimal traffic generated in New Zealand.
