NSW Nurses and Midwives conference starts with Flashmob
By admin

The 2014 NSW Nurses and Midwives’ association’s (NSWNMA) annual conference received an unexpected surprise when they were treated to a flashmob dance to see them off to their express train ride.

Following the success of last year, Mercure Sydney has again hired a train for express transportation between Sydney Central and Rosehill Gardens where this year’s annual conference is being held.

This year they provided an extra surprise, while delegates were gathered in front of the Mercure Sydney for a group shot a troupe of hotel employees broke out into a flash mob featuring a song and dance performance just for them.

“We are delighted to be able to provide this innovative conferencing solution as well as such a bright start to their conference” said Greg Brady, general manager Mercure Sydney.

“The convenience of travelling on a dedicated train makes this the most efficient way of meeting their conference requirements. It takes just 30 minutes to travel as the train bypasses all traffic black spots with stops at Redfern, Strathfield and Lidcombe to gather up the 450 delegates attending the conference” said Brady.

The conference is an important date for the NSW Nurses and Midwives association calendar.

“This year’s conference will see numerous activities centred on the theme of nurses and midwives being a force for change in putting patient safety first. It is very important for our delegates to have a seamless experience in travelling to the conference and staying at the hotel, in order to gain the maximum from the conference” said Brett Holmes, general secretary.
