Airbnb, the world’s leading community driven hospitality company, is on a mission to change the way people travel by offering an alternative to mass produced tourism.

And they’ve sent us Sam McDonagh, theirCountry Manager for Australia and New Zealand, to tell us all about it at the upcoming Travel DAZE forum

With over two million homes, Airbnb is already one of the world’s largest accommodation providers.

More than 80 million people worldwide have had a unique experience by staying in someone’s home when they travel and the opportunity to live like a local. There are over 70,000 listings across Australia, and Sydneysiders and Melburnians are some of the biggest users.

Sam has over 20 years’ experience in senior management roles across Australia, the United States and Asia, at companies including eBay and iiNet.

Prior to Airbnb, Sam was General Manager, advisor and investor in US-based Dollar Shave Club’s Australian business.

He also co-founded Quickflix in 2003.
