Peter Egglestone departs from Helloworld

Helloworld today confirmed the departure of Qantas Holidays Managing Director and Head of Wholesale, Peter Egglestone who has resigned to pursue a number of opportunities outside of the Company.

Helloworld Executive Director, Wholesale Cinzia Burnes said, “after 3 years as Head of Wholesale for Helloworld, Peter has decided that it is time for him to look at some differing challenges.”

“We wish Peter every success for the future and thank him for his considerable contribution to
the business across a number of differing roles spanning nearly 17 years.”

A recruitment process is currently underway to secure a replacement and Mr Egglestone will remain with the business until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.

Mr Egglestone said while his immediate focus was personal, he intended to remain close to the
travel sector.

“I’m going to spend the next couple of months following a personal dream and indulging in some property development however I’m always going to be professionally aligned with the travel sector and I’m looking forward to the next stage of my career.”
