Marshall hangs up captain’s hat, opens hotel doors

Travel industry stalwart, Tammy Marshall, will join TFE Hotels in the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer from May.

TFE Hotels chief executive officer, Rachel Argaman said Marshall will be reporting to her and will oversee hotel operations, team performance and business improvement across the organisation’s various brands.

“I have worked closely with Tammy in the past and admire her as a passionate leader and change agent. We’re privileged to have Tammy join our business in this critical period as TFE Hotels continues to transform and grow,” Argaman said.

Marshall brings more than 20 years’ experience in tourism and departed after three years as senior vice president at Carnival Corporation last month, after ceo Ann Sherry announced “structural changes” as part of the organisation’s “continuing growth”. Prior to joining P&O she was managing director of Inspiring Journeys and AAT Kings and before that, was for seven years managing director of other Travel Corporation brands Contiki and Contiki Resorts.

“Having hung my captain’s hat on the peg and shaken my sea-legs, I could not be more excited to be joining TFE Hotels. I truly believe that organisational growth is achieved through people, culture, vision and focus on creating customer value and I am excited to take the next step in my career with such a respected business,” Marshall said.
