Pan Pacific Hotels Group takes to the road
By admin

Travel agents converged on Sydney’s Parkroyal Darling Harbour hotel to meet representatives from the Pan Pacific Hotel Group’s international portfolio last week.

The Customer Connections series of events made its way from Perth to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before popping over the Tasman to Auckland.

The Sydney and Melbourne events were attended by 180 people, with 130 in Perth and 100 in Brisbane while around 60 attended in Auckland.

“We have a reputation for putting on good party,” Oceania general manager Craig Bond told Travel Today.

“We also have excellent partnerships and we’re relationship driven.”

Senior representatives from PPHG’s partner firms were in attendance, but Bond stressed the front-line staff from those companies were equally valued as guests.

“We really connect with the people who make the bookings,” he said. “We treat them like we do the managing director, the CEO – they’re just as important.”

In a video message shown to guests, chief executive Patrick Imbardelli apologised for his absence, but highlighted the recent developments for the portfolio.

The opening of the Parkroyal Pickering in January is “giving another dimension” to the hotel scene in Singapore, he said.

In addition, he highlighted recent refurbishments at Parkroyal Sydney and Parramatta with renovations currently underway at Melbourne Airport.

“There’s a lot of refreshed product because we want to grow with you,” he said.
