Corporate travel firm FCm Travel Solutions has formed a specialist global sales team in an effort to win and retain multinational clients.

The team is made up of regional sales leaders from across its network including Sue McEvoy from FCm Asia Pacific, Caermon McLeod from FCm USA, Tate Williams Crawford from FCm Europe and Manuel Couturier from FCm Latin America.

The move comes on the back of two years of significant growth in corporate clients with multinational operations and corporate travel requirements.

 

Agents have until midnight tomorrow night to enter the draw for the second of two Piaggio scooters in Star Alliance's "Piaggio Round the World" incentive.

Agents receive an entry for every Star Alliance fare booked between June 1 and July 31.

 

Gold Coast Tourism has launched its Gold Coast Traveller app, featuring a start-up directory of 500 local tourism businesses.

All attractions, tours, restaurants and events listed are searchable and bookable via mobile devices.

“After months of research, development and testing, the Gold Coast Traveller app went live over the weekend with a 4.5 star rating from the App Store and overwhelming positive reviews from those first to download the product,” chief executive Martin Winter said.

The tourism body expects the app to reach more than 60,000 consumer downloads and drive 20,000 direct sales leads worth almost $1.8 million to regional businesses within its first 12 months.

 

Academic specialist Campus Travel has launched an integrated mobile itinerary management tool for its travellers.

The app, the result of a partnership with UK-based Mantic Point, enables clients to use their smartphones to access itineraries, check in and receive flight status notifications or changes among other features.

 

Luxury hotel brand Sofitel has launched a new online jobs platform Sofitel-jobs.com as the luxury hotel firm kicked off a new international human resources campaign.
