Midweek interview with Peter Douglas, National Sales Manager, Globus Family
By admin

The challenge for the industry is… To understand and anticipate future trends in travel.

The things I like about my job are… The people I work with and the range of high quality product available at the Globus family of brands.

And the frustrations… The traffic in Sydney.

If I didn’t work in travel I would… Be a school teacher.

Qantas or Virgin? My gold status has expired for both because I tend to travel on either due to schedule. I am sure the travelling I will do in this job will solve that problem.

My proudest moment… Is watching my boys playing any sport.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Surfing at night – more stupid than naughty.

I try to relax by… Swimming in the ocean.

The last time I feared for my life was… Any time there is heavy turbulence.

If I can, I always… Try to avoid queues.

I really wish I had… A tropical island.

The best advice I’ve ever received was… “If you can’t say anything nice…

I don’t understand why… We don’t have hover cars yet

My greatest weakness is… Cheese

And my greatest strength is… My family

If I was prime minister I would… Be disliked by at least 50% of the population.

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… Pay off debt and take a big trip every year with the family.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… An astronaut

I’ve always wanted to travel to…  Africa and South America

My favourite holiday was… Skiing in Austria and Canada
