World Journeys expands down under

World Journeys have shown record growth in a short space of time, bringing new members to the team.

Within five months of opening here, they are supporting the Australian marketplace by providing customised itineraries to each state and territory.

This month sees World Journeys grow further with the addition of four new talented staff members to support the company’s growth.

World Journeys have appointed Joel Hiini-Neilson and Tracy Stewart to their team of travel designers, working predominantly in their specialist areas.

Joel specialises in Canada and Alaska product. Joel has travel extensively to Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Antarctica, China, Hawaii, and Canada/USA, and previous roles in her travel industry career have included time at Walshes World in the Land and Air departments, Frontier Travel, and HOT Product’s USA & Canada team.

While studying at the International Travel College in Auckland, Tracy Stewart worked for American Express booking domestic Australian travel.  Working with director, Chris Lyons she is focusing on Central and South America. She has travelled extensively through Asia, France, the Maldives and USA (Florida).

Vanessa Hibbard has also been appointed as group specialist, specifically to look after their range of small group escorted journeys, as well as agents’ group travel requirements.

Vanessa’s travel career has involved both retail and corporate roles in South Africa, 5 years in the UK at American Express and Hogg Robinson plus tour guiding, and in NZ at Holiday Shoppe, House of Travel and most recently Tempo Holidays.

A committed traveller, Vanessa’s explorations have included much of Europe, time on a Moshav in Israel, and Mexico. Vanessa looks forward to dealing with group travel for agents both known and new to her.

Mei Ling has been appointed to look after accounts & administration. She has travelled to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Lucerne, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, the Black Forest, and Hong Kong.
