WATCH: Police break up fight between Frontier Airlines employee and two women

Miami-Dade police arrested two women last week after fighting with a Frontier Airlines employee at Miami International Airport.

The two women were running 45 minutes late to their flight and were disallowed from boarding the plane, Fox News reported.

One of the women, Makyan Mercer, threw a plastic sign at a Frontier employee and the argument escalated. The employee had a cut on her face and she was then taken to hospital, police reported.

While Mercer was being detained by police, Janaeah Negash, intervened and yelled at the officers, “Don’t touch her.”

According to the police, Negash was also arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, while Mercer was charged with aggravated battery, alongside resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

A spokesperson from Frontier Airlines told Fox that the women approached the counter after the designated cut-off time for check-in.

“They became aggressive, with one of the customers physically assaulting a team member who subsequently required medical treatment,” the spokesperson said.

“We are providing our full support to the injured team member and are appalled by the conduct of the two customers who were ultimately arrested. Both will be permanently banned from flying with us in the future.”
