US Department of State thanks Hawaiian Airlines’ Sydney Airport team

Hawaiian Airlines was recognised for its customer service excellence last week when representatives of the US Department of State and US Commercial Service staged a surprise visit to the Australia and New Zealand teams during their visit at Sydney Town Hall with CEO Peter Ingram.

Welcomed into the room by Hawaiian Airlines’ regional director, Andrew Stanbury, the US Consulate representatives presented a certificate of appreciation to staffer Daniel Arbovski from the airline’s Sydney Airport team for outstanding service in handling the rescheduled departure from Australia of a senior government VIP.

Arbovski and the team were checking in a busy flight on 11 October when, during the check-in process, members of the US Department of State and US Commercial Service teams arrived at the Sydney Airport counter due to immediate requirements for travel facilitation on HA452.

Under his guidance, as bookings were completed, Arbovski and the airport team swung into action to continue to serve a full flight of mostly holidaymakers while calmly accommodating the needs of the US government at the same time.

Arbovski and Hawaiian Airlines were also presented with gift packs of premium chocolates.

“Warm and professional customer care is a hallmark of Hawaiian Airlines’ service, so we were delighted when the US Consulate contacted us wishing to acknowledge Daniel and the team,” Stanbury said.
