Urban Adventures kicks off new 2015 tours

Urban Adventures are launching a brand new bunch of tours around the globe, from foodie faves to customised journeys.

The global day tour operator has jumped headfirst into Cambodia and Tijuana for a culinary cook off, Hong Kong to cruise the local neighbourhoods, and Dubai for create-it-yourself style tour series.

Suss out the new additions to Urban Adventures offerings right here.

Cambodian Cook-out

The best way to get to the heart of a country is through its food and this rings especially true in Cambodia. This Siem Reap cooking class begins with a walk through a quiet village for an insight into daily local life and the many fruits and vegetables grown there.

Arrive at the tranquil cooking venue, complete with herb garden, close to sunset and get hands-on with preparing a three course Cambodian meal, eaten in a peaceful dining area. Take-home recipes will help with mastering those cooking skills back at home.

Cost: $57 per person

Duration: 4 hours

Availability: departing every day at 3.45pm

Taste of Tijuana

The secret to falling for Tijuana is to taste it like a local. This food tour encompasses some gastronomic gems – from the back alley taco cart that only locals know about to a traditional Mexican popsicle shop and the city’s oldest open-air market for exotic fruits, local cheese and Oaxacan mezcal.

Travellers will discover that the world’s busiest border city is more than just surf bars and tequila shots on this Urban Adventure.

Cost: $106 per person

Duration: 4 hours

Availability: departing every day at 3pm

Visit one of the biggest shopping malls in Hong Kong, a factory-turned art studio and exhibit space, the Garment District and finish with a treasure hunt through the city’s best known flea market.  From luxury to grassroots, this tour shows the real Hong Kong.
