TravelManagers’ Australia-wide market days set to return

TravelManagers’ Australia-wide market days set to return

TravelManagers is set to roll out a series of supplier market days across Australia this month in preparation for what is expected to be a busy start to the 2023 selling season.

Starting in Brisbane on 18 November and concluding ten days later in Adelaide, each market day will bring together a wide range of partner suppliers and personal travel managers (PTMs) in an informal setting.

According to TravelManagers’ supplier relations executive, Sandra Leslie, more than 175 PTMs have so far registered to attend the five market days, each of which will run for four hours before concluding with a state Christmas celebration.

The exception to this format will be the Adelaide event, which will be conducted as a fireside meeting with TravelManagers’ national partnership office (NPO) management team, followed by a supplier networking session of five-minute presentations.

All of the market day events will also include a presentation showcasing Signature Travel Network’s luxury product offerings, with their ‘money can’t buy’ experiences and value-adds, plus a report from Signature’s Las Vegas conference earlier this month.

Leslie said the market day concept was a resounding success on its first outing in June and reported that available spots were snapped up fast as suppliers jumped at the chance to take part once again.

“We have been overwhelmed by the interest and commitment from our partner suppliers to participate in our November Market Days,” Leslie said.

“Both PTMs and suppliers consider the events as ideal for getting together in a relaxed environment to build and maintain their mutually beneficial relationships.”

“Many of the suppliers who attended the Sydney market day in June really enjoyed the deliberately informal tone, which allowed PTMs to spend as much time as they wanted with their individual choice of suppliers,” Leslie notes.

Daiana Magalhaes, who is TravelManagers’ representative for Dianella, is looking forward to her state’s market day on 23 November at Perth’s Duxton Hotel.

“There have been fewer opportunities to get together with industry colleagues over the last three years,” she said.

“So I’m really looking forward to the market day as a chance to reconnect – not to mention rejoicing in our collective achievements this year at the Christmas celebration which concludes the day!”
