The suitcase with a waitlist of 10,000

This suitcase has a waitlist of over 10,000 people, including big name celebs like Oprah, Jessica Alba and Gigi Hadid. So why the hell is it so bloody popular?

Well, this bag, created by travel-goods company Raden, is a little different to your standard luggage you slap down at check-in. It’s a work of art.

The suitcase is, for starters, designed for carry-on, and comes with every high-tech gadget you can think of, according to the New York Post.

Known as the A22 Carry, the bag is 3.8kg and features a battery to charge mobile devices, tools that tells you how much the bag weighs, weather alerts, traffic alerts, flight deal alerts, and built-in Bluetooth technology that lets owners know where it is when the bag leaves their company.

The exterior is also crack-resistant, and its shiny wheels have 360-degree maneuverability.

And the battery isn’t just your stock standard phone charger that runs out after an hour. It’s removable, and can charge a phone as many as four times, with two of the charging ports on the outside of the bag for easy access.

The bag hit shop floors about 10 months ago, and has already seen 20,000 sold worldwide.

Now, due to demand that the company was not prepared for, the waiting list to get your mittens on one of these bad boys has soared to over 10,000 people.

10,000 people – for a bag!

Some of the reason the bag is so damn popular comes down to celebrity interest, with British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury reportedly ordering 40 of the bags for her team, and NBA player Draymond Green buying one for each of his Golden State Warriors teammates.

“It’s hard to forecast demand,” Raden CEO Josh Udashkin told The Post. “[But] we’re extremely humbled.”

The A22, as well as the larger but still ridiculously pimped out A28 model, comes in 10 colours, including gold, bronze, light purple and navy — some with an option of gloss or matte finishes.

The most popular option? Apparently, it’s the light-pink gloss finish.

Prices for the A22 begin at $A387, while the A28 starts at $A518.
