The letter you need to send to your boss

The letter you need to send to your boss

DEAR PRUDENCE…

You know how we’re always ranting on about digital transformation and ROI in the travel industry? Well there’s this event we think you should attend – you might have heard of it, it’s called Travel DAZE?

Yeah, we thought you’d recognise that. It’s going to be brilliant, just take a look!

And now we’ve written a template letter for you to help persuade the boss that there’s great ROI in sending you to Travel DAZE.

Fill in the blanks, print it out and attach the PDF brochure which has all the key event details for them to peruse.

If they want to come, their ticket will be discounted using the special promo code we have created in your letter (you can only use this code when buying two tickets).

Accompanying the letter with a cup of coffee is highly advised too. So here goes…

Dear [Name],

I would like to attend Travel DAZE being held in Sydney on 30 November.

Travel DAZE is a two-day TEDx-style ideas and strategy event aimed at challenging the status quo in an ever-changing market. It will be the first travel conference of the sort to be held here – and I really want to go see the high caliber of local and international speakers that are taking part.

The second wave of disruption is set to hit the travel industry, and I need to attend Travel DAZE to bring forth great ideas and make new business contacts that will help me punch above my weight in this company.

Travel DAZE will feature top thinkers in the travel sector and with its interactive TEDx like format, it will give me direct access to these experts.

The program was developed by Australia’s number one B2B travel publication, Travel Weekly, and run by well-connected and senior executives who have lived through travel industry transformation and tried to manage disruption in their own business. They are passionate and connected. The program of topics, live interviews, interactive audience panels and social streaming is the most impressive I’ve seen of all these sorts of events.

I strongly think there is a big potential ROI for letting me attend. Here are the benefits we will receive by attending:

  1. Network with top consultants, advisors, and business leadership minds to round out my thinking and expand my network of potential partners;
  2. Increase productivity, performance and innovation by applying practical strategies and ideas the very next day at work;
  3. Enhance staff engagement by encouraging a greater sense of purpose and meaning in the organisation though being able to better understand where we stand in the disruption spectrum;
  4. Reduce stress in the digital age through sharing my issues and listening to some of the country’s top organisational development consultants speak specifically to the topic;
  5. Improve my digital literacy though workshops and hot topic sessions with some of the key companies servicing the sector.

Ticket Prices

  • Early Bird (by 1 October) $395 + GST Prices displayed are per person.
  • Slept In – for sale October 2 2015 $495 + GST

Your 10% second ticket code is: BOSS10

The tickets are transferrable and this code applies on top of earlybird rates. So if we get in quickly our tickets will be pretty good value.

Attending this program will benefit me professionally, and have a very positive impact on our organisation. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to read this proposal.

Best Regards,
