The Best Resort in Uluwatu!
The Ungasan Clifftop Resort
When you travel to Bali, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to accommodation. A magnitude of villas, hotels, resorts that suit every type of traveler and the options are endless. However, The Ungasan Clifftop Resort needs to be on your radar!
The experience was amazing because of the following:
- Stunning clifftop location
- Spectacular villas
- World class dining options
- Luxury experience options
- Private butler
- Sundays Beach Club
First Impression / Look and Feel on Arrival
As the gates open to the immaculately kept resort grounds you are transported to an exclusive escape. The villas en route to the main lobby fill you with excitement and anticipation as you don’t know which one yours will be.
When you reach the main building you are welcomed by the stunning Uluwatu views sweeping before you. This is where the functions are usually held as well as the main pool (which is empty when we arrived).
You are greeted with warm smiles and your bags quickly and efficiently packed on board the buggy that will take you to your villa.
Luxury Escapes for everyone
The resort caters to several different travellers – whether it be families and large groups, people looking to hold events or weddings, or intimate couple escapes. There are several accommodation options, services and activities for all.
Location
The Ungasan is nestled on the iconic Uluwatu clifftops – more specifically the magical Bukit Peninsula.
The Rooms
There are 7 five-bedroom villas (which can be booked as a three bedroom) and 10 x one-bedroom villa. The Ungasan accommodation has a luxurious design concept seamlessly including traditional Balinese inspiration. None of the 5-bedroom properties are the same and each provide a unique layout with different features.
The large villas are perfect for groups and large families. The vast size of the property (2,5000m2) ensure privacy as well as wonderful setting amongst manicured gardens and stunning clifftop frontage.
Each of the villas have infinity pools sitting nicely to enjoy the amazing clifftop views. Space will never be an issue as the grounds are plentiful for both kids and adults to enjoy. The rooms all offer king-sized beds and ensuite, private butler, nanny, driver services as well as “Morning Harvest Breakfasts” daily.
Additional services that guests have access too is in-villa dining and poolside service (from your very own villa!), private in-villa BBQ’s and spa treatments.
Drinking and Dining 10/10
You could spend every minute of your stay in your villa. Due to the private butler services and food options, there are immense menus to choose from if you wish to stay in the exclusive confines of your room/villa. Otherwise there are two dining options, the all-day dining at Sundays Beach Club and Selatan Restaurant.
A little trek from your villa down to the beach, Sundays has an all-day brunch menu, lunch snacks as well as very popular trendy dishes such as poke bowls and gourmet burgers. The menu’s are crafted by James Viles, with huge importance placed on sourcing only the finest local ingredients.
Hotel Features
Aside from the sanctuaries that are the Ungasan Clifftop villas, one unique feature is that Sundays Beach Club. It is one of Bali’s most spectacular and trendy beach front location on Uluwatu’s amazing beach locations. Guest of the resort have VIP entry and reservation.
Once there, you can enjoy the white sandy beach, crystal clear water and scattered rockpools. Perfect for your social media posts! If you’re looking for something a little more active, there are paddle boards, snorkeling equipment and kayaks that are complimentary. Otherwise, take a dip in the ocean!
