Sydney NYE hot spots go on sale

The fight for prime New Year’s Eve real estate has already begun as tickets for some of the best Sydney harbourside spots go on sale.

Spots on Clark Island, Shark Island, Bradleys Head and Nielsen Park all went on sale on Monday and are among the most popular locations to celebrate a new year.

Although tickets have been reduced from last year, glimpsing fireworks from the premiere location of Clark Island still costs up to $400.

But for the more modest onlooker $35 will let them settle in at Bradleys Head.

“Celebrating New Year’s Eve on the harbour captures the very essence of Sydney and this year we’re hosting a range of events to attract visitors into our waterfront parks,” NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service deputy chief executive Mark Peacock said.
