Swan Hellenic taps Aussie powerhouse Brigita Devries as regional GM

Swan Hellenic has just appointed Brigita Devries as its new Pacific general manager.

Reporting directly to Alfredo Spadon, Swan Hellenic’s senior vice president of global sales and marketing, Devries is launching the newly-revived expedition cruise pioneer’s growth in the Australia and New Zealand markets to consolidate its position as the leading innovator in this sector.

Admired for her strong performance in increasingly senior sales and marketing roles at Norwegian Cruise Line, Star Cruises and Crystal Cruises over 22 years, Devries cemented her reputation as managing director through the global health crisis.

Deploying innovative techniques, she was able to keep trade and consumer markets engaged while building strong team motivation to power effective post-pandemic resumption.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have Brigita on board! Her track record for combining innovative strategic thinking with a truly caring customer and trade focus make her perfect to advance our market position as a unique brand in Australia and New Zealand,” Spadon said.

Devries said joining Swan Hellenic was a privilege and pleasure,

“Everyone in the open and dynamic team is driven by a passionately uncompromising focus on taking this iconic, pioneering brand forward into the next phase of its history. I look forward to bringing some fantastic developments to trade and consumers in the coming months.”
