Spencer Travel hosts another Diamond Day

Spencer Travel hosts another Diamond Day

If you think your job has good perks, wait till you see this.

Yes, the headline is serious. Spencer Travel awards it’s long-standing staff members with literal diamonds. And we really want to join.

It’s what’s made long-service milestones and rewards famous at this company – as well as the office culture and staff-retentioin credentials. We’d definitely hang around for a diamond.

Spencer Travel is renowned for its Diamond Club – a unique rewards program established by the company’s founder, Penny Spencer. Upon completing 10 years of employment, staff receive a sparkling, one-carat diamond. And they’ve just given out another one!

“In the 20 years Spencer Travel has been in business, we have crafted a workplace culture built around a set of core values. We incorporate those values in our recruitment processes meaning that, more often than not, we get it right,” Spencer said.

“Our Diamond Club is a little bit famous. I pondered for a long time how to reward staff upon their 10th anniversary in our group of businesses.

“The travel industry can be transient, so I wanted something that acknowledged the value of their loyalty. I love diamonds, so the Diamond Club was born. I am delighted that Danielle is now a member of that sparkling Club.

“10 years is a huge commitment to one company. One absolutely worthy of a diamond!” she added.

This time, it was Danielle Brownie who received her very own sparkling gem – and she was pretty damn excited about it.

“There’s a uniquely supportive culture at Spencer Travel. I remember my first day like it was yesterday. I was made to feel so welcome, and received a hand-written note and a bottle of wine from Penny which was a lovely touch,” she said.

“It’s such a thrill and an honour, 10 years later, to have joined Spencer Travel’s Diamond Club.”
