Scenic reveals Scenic Eclipse II debut date and inaugural trip
Scenic has revealed the inaugural departure date of its highly anticipated Scenic Eclipse II.
With construction in its final stages and progressing as planned, Scenic Eclipse II will set out on 13 April 2023 for her inaugural voyage on the 11-day Incredible Iberian Discovery, from Lisbon to Barcelona.
With the introduction of Scenic Eclipse II, alongside her sister ship Scenic Eclipse, the two Discovery Yachts will visit up to 357 ports across 85 voyages in 54 countries, traversing all seven continents.
Scenic’s VP of marine operations, James Griffiths, said the ship is being built to the very highest standards, from the bottom up to operate in the most extreme environments in the world and includes all the latest technologies available.
“She is able to go places that the absolute vast majority of cruise ships are unable to visit,” Griffiths said.
“We are also the only operator to carry two permanent helicopters and a submarine on board and add a unique perspective for our guests, by flying high above and also diving 200 metres below the ocean.”
All Scenic Eclipse voyages are truly all-inclusive, meaning travellers can leave their wallets behind and relax.
Internal flights, transfers, fine dining experiences, premium branded beverages and excursions are all included in the ticket price.
Like its sister ship, Scenic Eclipse II includes an expansive Senses Spa complete with dedicated male and female wellness areas appointed with saunas, steam room, colour and cold therapies with relaxation lounges and manicure / pedicure studio.
The new build will also feature the only dedicated Yoga and Pilates studio for a ship its sizeand an expansion of the steam room area to include aromatherapy and integrated ice fountain and experience showers, plus, the introduction of KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds, enhanced with aromatherapy scents designed to benefit mind, body and soul.
On Deck 10, a new bar area with indoor and outdoor seating and a large, oval-shaped pool with comfortable relaxation space will also be a new feature, perfect for sail-away deck parties.
The ship will also bring in new itineraries in Australia, Indonesia and the Pacific:
