Rail Online increases agent commission for limited time on Eurail bookings
Edited by Travel Weekly

Rail Online has increased agents’ commission from 7 per cent to 9 per cent on all Eurail passes between 10-31 July.

Rail Online is anticipating a bumper second half of the year and also wanted to thank travel agents who have continued to support the platform in recent months (hence the commission bonus).

Agents can earn the extra commission on all Eurail passes sold through the Rail Online platform, including the ever-popular Eurail Global Flexi Pass, which offers travel in 33 countries across Europe and the UK.

Rail Online general manager Kirsty Blows says the second half of 2023 is shaping up for record growth, with value-for-money Eurail passes likely to remain the company’s most popular products.

“The growth we are seeing in European rail bookings and enquiries suggests that the steady increase in air capacity between Australia and Europe is starting to push airfares down and fuel increased demand,” Blows, said.

“At the same time, it’s clear that high-profile sporting events such as the Tour de France, Wimbledon and the forthcoming Rugby World Cup are proving to be major drawcards.

Blows says the commission increase is a “well-deserved thank you” to travel agents for their support during what has been an extraordinary six months for Rail Online.

“Over the past six months we have forged closer ties with key travel agency groups, added new support services and rail products, and extended our global footprint to include the UK, Canada and the United States,” Blows, said.

“These developments simply would not have been possible without the exceptionally strong support we receive from our travel partners across Australia.”
