Qantas nosedives in most trusted brands list

Qantas remains in the top 10 most trusted brands in Australia, but has again taken a hit on the Roy Morgan Risk Monitor poll.

This comes after the airline was bumped from top spot to fourth last year.

According to the latest poll, hardware retailer Bunnings is the nation’s most trusted brand, edging out supermarket rivals Aldi and Woolworths for top spot. Supermarket Coles and discount department store retailer Kmart also ranked in the top 10.

Following them, and rounding out the top 10, are insurer NRMA, public broadcaster the ABC, Qantas, and car manufacturer Toyota, with the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank out-performing larger rivals to claim the title of Australia’s most trusted bank and 10 most trusted brand overall.

The latest Roy Morgan Risk Monitor also shows that retail, supermarkets and consumer products are Australia’s most trusted industries, while mining and petroleum, telecommunications and utilities are the country’s most distrusted.

Travel and tourism remain the seventh most trusted industry in Australia, sitting directly behind services, but above charities.
