Amadeus has announced the launch of the Amadeus Taxi & Transfer solution in partnership with Cabforce, with Scandinavian Airlines standing by as launch partners.

Airlines can now integrate a hassle-free ‘one-stop shop’ solution in their website, offering a range of additional products and services to customers to increase bookings and revenues.

The Amadeus Taxi & Transfer offer is currently bookable through SAS’ website, with several other airlines in the pipeline to implement this solution.

 

Popular British actor and comedian Rob Brydon is set to be the face of P&O Cruises’ latest World Cruising’s campaign, which brings a fresh brand identity for the cruise line.

Launching on Christmas Day in the UK, the multi-million dollar campaign is themed around the phrase ‘this is the life’, and aims to inspire everyone from cruise veterans to virgin cruisers to discover this form of holiday.

The campaign uses classic British humour alongside a witty narrative to define ‘this is the life’ moments on a P&O Cruises World Cruising holiday through the eyes of cruise newcomer, Rob Brydon.

Minor Hotel Group (MHG) has announced it will reflag one of its owned properties, the Four Seasons Bangkok, to its luxury Anantara brand, joining the brand’s Thailand portfolio on March 1 2015.

Located in the heart of central Bangkok, the 354-key hotel has become a preferred destination for luxury travelers, and boasts seven restaurants and bars, a spa, gym, outdoor swimming pool, and a number of facilities for business guests, including extensive meeting spaces.

Award-winning travel writer Rob McFarland kicks off his travel writing courses next week, and is offering Travel Today readers the discounted price of $549, down from $599.

With six awards under his belt, including Travel Writer of the Year, McFarland offers two-day workshops, correspondence courses and story reviews for budding writers.

Accor Advantage Plus has launched an exciting “100 Days of More” competition to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The competition encourages members to share their favourite travel photos, with the most “Liked” photos in the running to win one of six major prizes including: Samsonite luggage, Nikon camera, Le Club Accorhotels points, dining vouchers and the ultimate prize of 20 nights’ accommodation at Accor hotels in the Asia Pacific.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has announced its royal godmother for third ship S.S. Maria Theresa will be Princess Anita von Hohenberg, direct descendent of the great Maria Theresa, part of the Habsburg-Lothringen dynasty.

Set to debut in spring 2015, the ship will be christened by the Princess on March 26 in Amsterdam, who expressed her honour in representing the Habsburg family as godmother of the ship.

 

Qantas has announced it will add a special flight for Australians wishing to attend Anzac centenary commemoration services in Turkey.

The airline will fly a reconfigured Boeing 747 aircraft which seats 364 passengers from Sydney to Istanbul via Perth on April 21, 2015, subject to regulatory approval.

The latest Tourism Snapshot from the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) research department has shown record numbers of tourists, with Australia a major player in the statistics.

In the year-to-date in October 2014, Canada welcomed 15.2 million international visitors, representing a 3% increase over the same period in 2013.

CTC’s overseas markets brought 15% more travellers to Canada, with Australia one of the top five tourism drivers for the country, alongside China, France, India and South Korea.
