Mudslide rips Californian hotels apart

Mudslide rips Californian hotels apart

California is in the grips of a major climate crisis.

Only last month, raging bushfires were taking over areas just outside of Los Angeles and wreaking havoc on locals and tourists alike.

Now, the state has been hit with mud and landslides which have ripped apart homes, hotels and killed 17.

The celebrity-filled suburb of Montecito has been the worst affected, with flooding causing irreparable damage to luxury hotels.

The Montecito Inn has posted a photo of the hotel’s exterior, which sees the establishment logged under more than a metre of water.

As well as this, reports are stating that the Four Seasons Biltmore, which only recently reopened over the weekend following the fires in December, has also been majorly affected by the mudslide and will be closed until further notice.
