Magellan signs Out & About Travel

Magellan signs Out & About Travel

Australia’s premier travel group has signed on yet another member, strengthening it’s position in the tourism industry.

Haven’t heard of Magellan Travel Group? You should have – they’ve been recognised at the Best Non-Branded Travel Agency Group twice at the National Travel Industry Awards (in 2015 and 2017) and their members are high-performance, independent-branded travel agencies.

And they’ve just signed on with a super exciting new member.

NSW-based leisure agency, Out & About Travel, officially joined the 130-member-strong Group earlier this month – and both companies are absolutely ecstatic.

Founding Director of Out & About, Reece Farmilo, commented that he is “thrilled to have become a Magellan member.”

“The culture, the value, the transparency and the like-minded operators are all factors which contributed to the decision we made to join the Group,” he added.

Farmilo started the street front agency in January 2007 in Elizabeth Bay and now has a team of eight full time consultants. Out & About Travel was a finalist in the 2017 NTIA for Best Retail Agency – Single Location, proving they definitely belong in Magellan’s elite ranks.

Andrew Macfarlane, MD of the Magellan Travel Group, said that he is “very much looking forward to working with Reece and his team at Out & About.”

“It is always an exciting time when we are able to come together with new member agencies and work with them in order to achieve their business aspirations,” he added.

One things for sure; this team is one to watch.
