THE LATEST FROM ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Royal Caribbean’s US$1 billion cruise ship, Ovation of the Seas, returns to our shores in early December 2017, meaning more Australians can discover the ultimate way to holiday this summer – supercruising.

The majestic megaliner has capacity for up to 4905 guests, weighing in at over 168,000 tonnes and measuring three and a half rugby fields in length. She’ll remain the newest, biggest and most technologically advanced ship ever to sail our waters, and her innovative features have reinvented travel in Australia.

Ovation of the Seas is more than a state-of-the-art cruise experience – this is a whole new way to holiday. There is no other destination in the country that delivers so much, all in one place,” Adam Armstrong, managing director of Royal Caribbean International said.

On Ovation of the Seas, guests will be able to feel the wind beneath their wings on the iFly skydiving simulator and FlowRider surf machine – found only on Royal Caribbean – drive on the wrong side of the road in the bumper cars at SeaPlex, go to circus school to master the trapeze, rock-climb or experience the very best views at sea from the North Star glass viewing pod, 90 metres above the ocean.

There is even a Bionic Bar, where guests can watch as robots expertly stir and shake their drinks.

Guests can also dine at 18 different venues onboard, including Jamie’s Italian, Michael’s Genuine Pub and Wonderland, as well as Royal Caribbean favourites like Chops Grille steakhouse and Izumi Japanese.
