Glitz and glam Gala dinner and awards wrap up Luxperience

Some 580 luminaries from the global luxury travel arena gathering last night at the recently renovated Four Points by Sheraton, Sydney for the ending event of Luxperience 2017.

The event’s largest ever Gala Dinner and Awards event recognised excellence in the industry with the Luxperience 2016 Awards, before the party really kicked off.

Master of Ceremonies, the effervescent style guru Henry Weinreich Roth, marked the culmination of Australasia’s leading luxury and experiential travel trade exhibition, Luxperience (18-21 September 2016) celebrating its fifth anniversary.

Sydney City Lexus, the lifestyle partner and evening sponsor, impressed guests with its display of a rose gold limited edition Lexus LFA valued at over one million dollars.

During the evening, the recipients of the prestigious Luxperience 2016 Awards were revealed. Designed to honour the development and promotion of some of the finest products that the industry has to offer – both from the buyer and supplier sides – the awards were judged by an esteemed panel of travel industry experts.

The Inspiring Award recognised excellence in the planning and development of innovative products and services; the Meaningful Award paid tribute to those contributing to a greater understanding of history, heritage and culture, and the Connections Award recognised successful e-marketing campaigns within the luxury or high end experiential travel space.

Luxperience also recognised an outstanding destination partner which has influenced the development of luxury and experiential tourism within their country or region. This year saw two new awards added this year to acknowledge the best Events By Luxperience buyer and supplier of the year.

Luxperience 2017 is to be held in a new venue, Carriageworks from 17 – 20 September, 2017.
