Flight Centre and Tourism Australia team up for first time in eight years

Flight Centre and Tourism Australia have reunited for the first time in eight years to unveil a new domestic-focused campaign.

The new campaign, which runs until 4 November, aims to inspire Aussies to “wake up and discover Australia” as border restrictions begin to ease, tying in with the latest iteration of Tourism Australia’s ‘Holiday Here this Year’ campaign.

It features a range of tongue-in-cheek pieces of creative advertising that showcase all states and territories and highlight booking with a travel agent as a one-stop-shop.

The campaigns product range includes self-drive packages along Australia’s coastal roads and wine country, outdoor and island getaways, walking tours, glamping trips and city stays.

Flight Centre will roll out the campaign across its network of owned assets and customer databases as well as paid traditional, digital and social media.

“We want to remind the market that we are an Australian company through and through,” Flight Centre managing director James Kavanagh said.

“More than just an Aussie brand, we are a group of passionate experts who are part of the Australian community.”

Flight Centre supremo Graham “Skroo” Turner and Tourism Australia managing director Phillipa Harrison will be speaking at the travel industry’s most thought-provoking conference, Travel DAZE 2020, next month. To find out more or to register, click here.
