Europe more popular than ever

Europe more popular than ever

If you’re planning on travelling to Europe in 2016, book now or face expensive consequences.

Tourism Research Australia recently released survey results revealing the climbing numbers of Australians visiting European hotpots over the last few years.

Visits to France have increased from 65,000 in 2010 to 108,000 in 2014, while travel to Italy has risen from 87,000 to 129,000 over the same period.

Growing numbers of Aussie visitors to Europe in recent years means that travellers planning a European adventure face the wrath of fierce competition and steep prices if they book too late.

STA Travel’s product trading & marketing director, Andrea Robinson said, “Europe is a travel destination on almost everyone’s must visit list, so the number of Australians heading over to this travel favourite are only expected to continue growing into the future.”

For those short on cash, STA Travel’s lay-by program offers the cheapest lay-by in Australia, allowing customers to lock in a holiday early and pay it off over time. Travellers can lay-by flights with a $99 deposit and pay off the rest up to ten weeks before their trip.

Robinson said, “Our clear message to travellers in 2015 is that there’s no better time than now to get in early and book your 2016 Europe flights, accommodation and tours.”
