Escape the chill: Melbourne gets daily Qantas flights to Bali

Victorians can escape the winter chill thanks to a new daily service from Melbourne to Bali from Qantas that took off over the weekend.

The year-round service will be operated by Qantas’ two-class Boeing 737 aircraft, with checked baggage allowance, in-flight entertainment and food and drinks all included as part of the fare.

The new flights add to the airline’s popular Sydney-Bali service, which has operated year-round since March 2017.

In the last five years, the number of Australians travelling to Bali have more than doubled, with Qantas and Jetstar carrying 1.6 million customers between them in 2017.

Together with Jetstar, the Qantas Group will now offer customers 84 return services to Bali from across Australia – the largest international airline group to operate into the island.
