Cruise3sixty moves to new month

Cruise3sixty conference moves to a new date to accommodate busy delegates.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has announced the annual Cruise Industry Awards gala dinner and the Cruise3sixty Australasia industry conference will be held on February 20 and May 6 respectively.

CLIA General Manager Brett Jardine said the move for the conference to May 2016 reflected the continuing growth of the local cruise industry.

“While both the awards and Cruise3sixty have been held in February the past two years, we know that the peak of the cruise season is an increasingly busy time, not only for our delegates but also for our speakers and sponsors,” Jardine said.

“As CLIA Australasia expands as an organisation these events are only going to get bigger, so we felt the time was right to separate them in the calendar.”

Jardine confirmed both events would be held at the Star Event Centre in Sydney, which proved a popular venue this year.

Tickets for the awards and Cruise3sixty will go on sale later this year.
