Carnival Corporation lands on world’s best employer list for third consecutive year
Edited by Travel Weekly

For the third consecutive year, Carnival Corporation has been named as one of the World’s Best Employers for 2023 by Forbes.

In the seventh annual listing, Carnival Corporation was recognised among the top 700 international employers from over 20 major industries for successfully cultivating a positive workplace environment across work-life balance, career advancement opportunities and employee diversity.

Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the World’s Best Employers list was determined through an independent survey of more than 170,000 employees from 55 countries working part-time or full-time for global companies and institutions.

Respondents were asked whether they would recommend their employers to friends and family, and to anonymously rate their workplaces based on criteria such as image, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility.

Employees could also rate other companies in their respective industries and countries. Based on these direct and indirect employee recommendations, along with an evaluation and adjustment for regional differences, only the top 700 companies out of thousands of organisations made the list.

“Our highly talented global team of shipboard and shoreside employees are at the heart of everything we do and we want to make sure we are fostering an environment where people from all different backgrounds, experiences and walks of life can thrive,” global chief (HR), Carnival Corporation, Bettina Deynes, said.

“As we continue to prioritize [sic] a positive company culture and drive initiatives to grow each of our team members’ careers, we are honored [sic] to be recognized [sic] once again by Forbes for our efforts and commitment to be the employer of choice for hospitality, travel and leisure careers.”

The recognition as one of the World’s Best Employers builds on a series of other distinguished honors Carnival Corporation has earned in recent years for its company-wide operations and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, fostering a positive workplace environment for all employees.

The company was named one of the Best Companies for Latinos by Latino Leaders Magazine in 2022 and earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index, designating the company as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality for the sixth consecutive year.
