Qantas has been slammed on social media after leaving a plane full of passengers stranded at Dallas Fort Worth Airport due to an aircraft issue.
There were nearly 200 passengers on the flight to Sydney on Wednesday when the crew discovered an issue with the aircraft after it was pushed back from the gate.
The issue was not easily solved and the flight was again delayed due to Sydney Airport’s curfew restrictions.
The nearest hotel was a $100 Uber away so many passengers slept on the floor at the airport until the next check-in at 9am.
Yet Qantas employees could not be found at this time causing unrest amongst the passengers.
i am absolutely not on twitter for consumer complaints *but* wtf is going on with @qantas. my flight of 200+ people (incl bunch of small kids) has been stuck at dallas, delayed overnight, no update for 15+ hours. almost as if sacking loads of engineers and ground staff is… bad?

By this point it is Lord of the Flies. A planeload of people is at checkin with nowhere to go and no guidance, the Qantas desk isn't just unmanned it has become a Lufthsana desk, and 300 people have checked bags to nowhere.
