ATAS compliance team praised as one of the best benefits of attaining accreditation
Edited by Travel Weekly

The successful management and resolution of customer disputes by the ATAS compliance team is being heralded as one of the major benefits of the accreditation.

Only ATAS Accredited Businesses have access to a comprehensive 3-step dispute resolution guidance and support available from the expert ATAS compliance team.

In the past 6 months of 2023, ATAS Accredited Travel Businesses have called on the compliance team for expert support to resolve more customer disputes than for the entirety of 2022.

At the current rate, the ATAS compliance team will triple the number of disputes resolved this year compared to the 12 months prior. For the year to date, ATAS Accredited Businesses have contacted the compliance team 76 times for dispute resolution guidance, compared with 51 times in 2022.

“As a boutique family-owned and run agency like ours the support we receive from ATAS Accreditation allows us to maintain the highest standards of service for our clients,” Gianni Vitellone from Pronto Travel said.

“Their support with queries and any potential dispute resolution absolutely justifies our continual renewal of our accreditation year on year. We very much appreciate it.” Christian Blondeau from France at Leisure said the ATAS team’s exceptional support, unwavering expertise and invaluable guidance are crucial to resolving crucial issues concerning booking terms and conditions, including a Cruise cancellation. “As an ATAS Accredited Business, we have consistently relied upon their unparalleled assistance, particularly during the challenging times of the pandemic, as we navigated the process of revising our booking policies and business T & Cs,” Blondeau, said.
