Agents and suppliers say ‘aloha’ at 1000MTG’s conference in Hawaii

1000 Mile Travel Group (1000MTG) brought over 100 travel industry professionals together in Hawaii to exchange ideas, gain insights from suppliers, and collaborate with their peers at its global conference.

Held at the Alohilani Resort in Waikiki between 23-26 February, 2023 the event spanned three days and saw industry experts share their knowledge on a wide range of topics, ranging from the latest in travel tools and technologies to travel trends and content, as well as important aspects surrounding professional and business development.

In addition to their own speakers, attendees were provided with the chance to interface with global suppliers to obtain information about new services and products and to build relationships with prominent members of the travel community from a global cohort of experts.

Commenting on the success of the inaugural global conference, 1000MTG CEO, Ben Ross, expressed his elation, noting the event as a fundamental element of the group’s pledge to give its travel advisors access to the best content and community in the business.

“Fostering the connection between travel advisors from various nations to acquire knowledge and associate with each other is a crucial component of our mission to make sure that even when independent travel advisors work from home, or anywhere for that matter, they never work alone,” Ross said.

Platinum Sponsors, Celebrity Cruises, and Expedia TAAP were joined by featured airline partner Delta Air Lines. and Hawaiian Tourism and other travel supplier sponsors, including Princess Cruises, Hawaiian Tourism Oceania, The Kahala Hotel and Resort, Marriott Resort Waikiki Beach, Travelport, Oceania Cruises, ALG Vacations, Viking, Virtuoso, Norwegian Cruise Line, Hilton, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Line, Collette, Silversea, Belmond, Pleasant Holidays, The Travel Corporation, and Regent Seven Seas.

Participants all agreed that the real highlight of the conference was the abundance of networking opportunities including an evening of Hawaii-themed fun at Germaine’s Luau, a cocktail party sponsored by Highgate at the Alohilani Resort Wonder Club, and wrapping it all up, a White Party co-sponsored by the Marriott Waikiki Beach on its stunning poolside deck with views of the sunset over the beach.
