Accor partners up for Tasmania’s Ten Days on the Island Festival

Accor Pacific, Tasmania’s largest hotel operator, has been named the official accommodation partner of the 2023 Ten Days on the Island festival taking place across Lutruwita/Tasmania from March 10–19.

The Festival starts in the south of the state, before heading north and concluding with a grand finale in the north-west.

There’s so much to see and do, including mapali, Sunset Gathering, a free, family-friendly celebration which concludes the festival at sunset at the banks of the river at Devonport. The river mouth, where saltwater meets fresh, is a site of powerful significance to First Nations people.

Ten Days Artistic Director, Lindy Hume, welcomed the partnership with Accor.

“Our 2023 program connects audiences to global, national and local artists in urban and regional spaces right across Lutruwita/Tasmania and we are delighted that visitors and locals alike can choose from a wonderful array of well-appointed Accor hotels to add to their festival experience.”

“The 2023 Ten Days program abounds with epic themes, Gods, myths, water stories, life and death, a celebration of our shared humanity, and all things rebellious, daring and vital,” Hume added.

Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry, said: “We are thrilled to have our Tasmanian hotels partner with Ten Days on the Island, which is the only festival in Tasmania that continues to visit every corner of the state.”

“The Festival plays a crucial role in celebrating arts and culture, and is a great boost for the Tasmanian travel industry.”

Accor has 10 hotels in Tasmania, including international brands such as Mövenpick, Peppers, Mantra, Novotel and ibis Styles.
