SilverNeedle to debut Sage hotel brand in Brisbane

SilverNeedle to debut Sage hotel brand in Brisbane
By admin

A second Brisbane hotel is on the cards for Singapore-based SilverNeedle Hospitality as it confirmed it will debut its new upscale Sage brand in the Queensland capital in late 2015.

The hotel group will open its first NEXT property in Brisbane’s CBD later this year, with both new brands targeting the business traveller.

The 111-room Sage property will be set within two refurbished storeys of the TCB heritage building in Fortitude Valley, owned by Forwin International, which dates back to 1902.

“Simplicity” and “uncompromised quality” will be the hallmarks of the new brand which is designed to offer a homely environment for business travellers on the go, according to SilverNeedle managing director and chief executive Iqbal Jumabhoy.

“At SilverNeedle Hospitality, we recognise there is an important group of business travellers who desire a stable and uncomplicated life as they conduct their business in unfamiliar cities,” he said.

“Not only is the Sage Hotel designed to fulfill the needs of this group, it also complements our suite of offerings that includes six other brands. Our intention is to develop the Sage Hotel brand throughout Asia Pacific in the upscale segment.”

The company aims to open a Sage property in primary and secondary urban cities across Asia Pacific in CBD and CBD fringe areas near transport hubs.
