Seabourn marks first training graduate

Seabourn marks first training graduate
By admin

Melbourne-based agent Rachelle Matheson has become the first Australian graduate of Seabourn's online training academy.

More than 150 Australian consultants have enrolled in the program since its April launch and Rachelle, joint managing director of Jigsaw Travel, became the first to complete the six-module course.

She was presented with a certificate to mark the milestone by Seabourn vice president of international sales, Joe Slattery, and director of sales in Australia Tony Archbold.

Rachelle said the training was particularly beneficial as she has never before cruised with Seabourn.

"We have a lot of repeat clientele that cruise on Seabourn and as I haven't cruised myself, it was a great opportunity to learn more about the cruise line," she said.

"After finishing the course I feel more comfortable selling the product knowing what they offer, the service level and all the value added benefits."

Archbold said the level of interest shown in the Seabourn Academy reflected a growing desire in the market for luxury products.

"Participating agents have all benefited from their increased knowledge, the resulting ability to sell luxury and to earn the higher commissions available in this market segment," he said.
