The first test of a new wireless onboard entertainment system has been carried out by LAN Airlines on an Airbus A320 service between Santiago, Mendoza and Chile.

The "in-wireless" six month trial is the "latest step" in the airline's plan to raise the standard of its entertainment system.

 

Natural Focus Safaris is offering two agents the chance to take part on a seven-night North India familiarisation tour which departs Delhi on August 25.

The Taj Mahal, Jaipur, Rajasthan, Khajuraho and Varanasi are some of the itinerary's highlights.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has invited agents to attend its Europe River Cruise Extravaganza, to be held in Cologne in Germany from November 17 to 18.

The annual event includes two-nights aboard a river cruise vessel, conference sessions, a trade show and ship inspections.

The number of Australians heading across the Tasman for a holiday has seen a dramatic increase, according to Lastminute.com.au.

The booking site revealed that flight bookings to New Zealand are up 44% on last year with twice as many bookings made for NZ destinations as compared with Bali over the last 12 months.
