Malaysia Airlines will ramp up the frequency of its Melbourne-Kuala Lumpur service to 21 weekly flights, with the announcement of an additional A330-300 daily service on the route.

The rise takes effect on November 21.

 

Air New Zealand Holidays, Sunlover Holidays, McLachlan Experiences and Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours are the latest additions to Express Ticketing’s growing stable of preferred partners.

Meanwhile, existing preferred partners Albatross Tours, Asia Escape Holidays and Pinpoint Travel Group have confirmed their participation in the company’s Express Rewards program.

 

The number of Australians keen to take a holiday in regional Australia in June has shrunk in recent years while demand for capital city breaks has remained constant, according to a new survey.

The research by Roy Morgan found that 68% of Australians want to take a regional holiday in the next two years, down from 73% in 2008, while capital city breaks appealed to 45% – the same number as five years ago.

 

Travellers departing from Sydney Airport can now buy “last chance” travel insurance from an ACE Insurance Limited (ACE) kiosk located after check-in, customs and duty free.

Launched to cater to the one in five passengers that reportedly head overseas without travel insurance, the kiosk will sell ACE’s new Trip Protect product.

 

Gecko’s Adventures has launched a world-wide Pack Ya Suitcase sale, with 20% off most itineraries in Latin America, Africa, South East Asia, Japan, China, the Middle East and Nepal.

Under the offer, its Riding the Reunification Train tour through Vietnam is priced from $796 per person.

 

Travelport has signed a long-term agreement with international travel and event management company The Appointment Group.

The deal gives the company's Australia-based agents access to Travelport's range of air, hotel and car content via its Galileo global distribution system.
