Business consultant TA Fastrack has rebranded as the Fastrack Group in a move it said reflects the expansion of the company.

After forming 12 years ago, the company has developed from mainly working with travel agents into one that has clients across the travel and tourism sector, chief executive Adrian Caruso said.

It has evolved into a "full service agency integrating digital, PR and advertising".

"As well as a new name we have a distinct new look and feel that better represents the services we offer and kind of clients we work with," Caruso said.

Emirates will increase capacity between Dubai and Warsaw by more than 50% from January 1 by replacing A330-200 aircraft with Boeing 777-300s.

The carrier also announced it will link Conakry, the capital of Guinea, to its four times weekly service from Dubai to Dakar.

Recruitment firm AA Appointments has launched its annual July Career Fair as it aims to retain people within the travel industry.

The company said "valuable talented personnel" is constantly being lured into other industries and creating a skiils shortage.

The Career Fair will advise candidates on the career paths available in travel, the best way to snare a job and educate people on which employers offer the best opportunities.

The Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) has said the opening of Rydges at Sydney Airport brings it into line with cities around the world where hotels at airports are commonplace.

The 318-room property opened on Friday.

"International travellers are used to having the option of staying at the airport rather than having to travel to get there," TTF chief executive Ken Morrison said. "Sydney Airport has been pushing to deliver this level of convenience for some time."
