Royal Caribbean has appointed Rosie Rissetto-Spiers as its new marketing manager, and Tessa Anderssen as its new public relations manager.

Rissetto-Spiers comes from a ten year stint with Air New Zealand, while Anderssen was most recently communications manager for Toga Hotels.

 

Club Med has reported record growth in snow resort bookings from the Australian market, up 20% this year to date.

Bookings for Japan are leading the way for the firm, up 35% for winter 2013/14 following a 96% increase for winter 2012/13.

 

The Australian Tourism Export Council's youth-focused operation, YATEC, is taking expressions of interest for its National Development Program which runs from August through to October.

The program aim to provide newer industry members with practical skills, networks and knowledge.

Mentors are also being sought to participate in the scheme.

 

Port Stephens has extended its PS I Love You campaign with a new Go Wild initiative.

Under the new promotion, images of humpback whales, dolphins, sunny beaches and adventure activities in the New South Wales region will appear on Sydney ferries, Melbourne trains and outdoor billboards.

It is also being supported by an online campaign which includes social media and digital bloggers.
