MTA brands new appointment a "major win"
By admin

Former Travel Counsellors national recruitment manager Clare Kearns has joined rival home-based firm Mobile Travel Agents, with chief executive Don Beattie branding her appointment as a “major win”.

Kearns takes on the role of business development manager for Victoria and Tasmania with immediate effect, marking the first management appointment since Beattie took the MTA helm last September.

“Given her high industry profile, her vast experience and understanding of the home-based travel model, she represents an excellent fit for the MTA management team,” he said.

“The skill set she brings will only enhance our already strong business growth seen in the Victorian market throughout 2013 which will grow substantially again in 2014.

“We know with her high profile and reputation she will have a major impact for us and we are obviously delighted to have her on the management team.”

Kearns has spent more than 16 years in several senior roles across the wholesale, retail and corporate travel sectors.
