Get fit with Shannan Ponton at sea
Fitness and health-living Shannon Ponton is best known as a personal trainer on the TV show The Biggest Loser.
But now travellers aboard selected Carnival Cruises are able to benefit from his first-class expertise in getting people in shape.
As Carnival Cruise Lines’ first Australian ambassador Shannan will be onboard the July 23 and August 12 departures, helping guests find a healthy balance of fun and exercise while they enjoy a Pacific Islands holiday.
Cruises to New Caledonia and Vanuatu with Shannan on Carnival Spirit are available from $979 per person twin share on a nine-night cruise departing Sydney on July 23. Shannan will also be onboard an eight-night cruise to New Caledonia departing Sydney on August 12, priced from $909.
Commenting on his attendance aboard the upcoming cruises, Shannan said “There’s so much to do on a Carnival cruise, I'm busting to get back onboard with my family. I’m going to hit the gym first thing for a spin class, or a circuit, then maybe an abs class. Then I’ll relax on deck with a cold drink, and of course play some mini golf with my son too.”
As well as his workout schedules, Shannah has worked with ship chefs to design a nutritious meal – a turkey burger on a chia and quinoa bun. For guests wanting to maintain their healthy lifestyle Shannan has given a ‘thumbs up’ symbol to the healthier selections on the ships’ menu.
