China Southern hosts chicken foot-eating competition

China Southern hosts chicken foot-eating competition
By admin

China Southern Airlines’ Perth office sponsored this year’s City of Perth Yum Cha in the Park event by providing two return tickets to Guangzhou. There was one catch though – the winner had to eat a plateful of freshly braised chicken feet and also be the fastest to clean the bones.

While a number of competitors dug in to the Asian dish the winner was Jeremy Tian Ming Wong, who was rewarded for his efforts by Pan Pan, China Southern Airlines sales executive.

The airline flies three times weekly to Guangzhou, the birthplace of yum cha, and is the only airline offering a direct service from Western Australia to mainland China.

Yum Cha in the Park was part of the month long Eat Drink Perth festival.
