Carnival’s spirited selfie at sea

Carnival’s spirited selfie at sea
By admin

In what has been dubbed the biggest selfie at sea, Carnival Cruise Lines' ambassador Shannan Ponton along with hundreds of Carnival Spirit guests struck a pose on the ship's top decks.

More than 600 people packed the decks during a cruise from Sydney to New Caledonia, to take part in the health and fitness guru's Biggest Bootcamp at Sea.

Those jumping in the epic ship selfie gave a gold coin donation which goes towards Ponton's chosen charity CanTeen, which provides support for young people living with cancer.

Ponton is also raising money for CanTeen during morning walks around the deck with Carnival Spirit cruise director Stu Dunn.

The fitness guru, who has been onboard the 10-day New Caledonia cruise helping cruisers stay fit and healthy during their sojourn at sea, with special classes, walks and lectures, is the cruise line's first Australian ambassador.

His next cruise will be an eight-night cruise to New Caledonia on Carnival Spirit on 12 August 2014.
