Carnival counts down to new Aussie ship

Carnival counts down to new Aussie ship
By admin

There’s less than 100 days left until the Carnival Legend arrives on Australian shores, and Carnival Cruise Lines’ team is already celebrating.

To celebrate the start of the 100-day until its second Australia-based vessel arrives, the team filled their office with 100 red helium balloons last Thursday.

A sister ship to Carnival Spirit, the 2680-guest Carnival Legend will start her inaugural trip from Sydney Harbour on September 22, embarking on a six-month season of cruises from Australia.

Carnival Legend has undergone a revamp, and now features a Green Thunder slide to match Carnival Spirit, as well as a Bonsai Sushi restaurant, the Red Frog pub and a Cherry On Top lolly shop.

The cruise will also offer the line’s new Seuss at Sea program for families, including dining and entertainment experiences to occupy the kids.

The ship will also get a taste of Australia, when it incorporates food and beverages catered to Aussie palates, Australian pricing on board, and local powerpoints.

“Australians have embraced Carnival Spirit so we can’t wait to give them twice as many reasons to holiday with us when Carnival Legend arrives,” Carnival Cruise Lines vice president Australia Jennifer Vandekreeke said.
