Carnival Australia unveils new agent portal
By admin

Carnival Australia has unveiled an agent portal for all seven of its brands as part of its new World’s Leading Cruise Lines trade marketing “umbrella” – an evolution of its former Complete Cruise Solution offering.

Chief executive Ann Sherry launched the new portal www.WLCL.com.au at the inaugural Cruise3Sixty Australasia conference in Sydney today.

It unites all seven cruise lines – P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines, Cunard, P&O Cruises World Cruising, Holland America Line and Seabourn – under one overarching umbrella for the first time, providing a 24/7 single point of access to Polar online and additional trade tools for all brands.

In addition, the new portal features a financial reporting tool, a comprehensive product guide for all seven brands, consolidated deals updates and general communication tools such as eDMs and marketing campaigns.

“The ‘World’s Leading Cruise Lines’ portal promises to make it easier for travel agents to do business with our house of brands,” Sherry said.

“With its ‘house of brands’, Carnival Australia, has been pivotal in the phenomenal growth of cruising that has made this the world’s fastest growing cruise market. As a result, Carnival Australia’s brands are uniquely placed to offer the widest possible choice to cruise holidaymakers under the ‘World’s Leading Cruise Lines’ umbrella.”

She highlighted the breadth of Carnival Australia’s offering with destinations, brands, ships and itineraries that appeal to all market segments. The seven cruise lines currently account for 80% of the ANZ cruise industry with 21 ships cruising to and from both Australia and New Zealand this year, she added.

Carnival will also host an expanded Partnership Summit this year under the new World’s Leading Cruise Lines umbrella, including all seven brands for the first time. Its Partnership Program will also be boosted to include all brands except Holland America Line and Seabourn, with the new tagline to be present in its communications and at major trade events over the coming months.
